Once again we see a report of filthy conditions in a care home for our elderly people.
The Care Quality Commission report about the Pellon Care Centre exposes a place where inmates were left in faecally soiled bedding with appalling showers, lack of washing care and subjected to filthy food serving practices.
Who could work and observe these practices without bothering to alert the authorities and liase with those who can help?
It is unrealistic to expect the CQC to undertake enough “random” effective inspections without inside “tip-offs.”
For pity’s sake, you can still keep your job, without keeping quiet about stuff that should sicken you.
