Wonderful to hear praise for our town after months of the doom-merchants

Have your say

What a wonderful letter by Graham Rigby (March 28) in praise of our picturesque town of Halifax.

It is nice to hear it for a change after months of doom-merchants’ dire procrastinations upon its future.

We have a wonderful history behind us and have been visited by kings and composers alike.

In summer it is a joy just to walk round the pretty shopping streets or relax with a drink in the many establishments dotted around.

The new developements should, with time, blend in nicely with the old.

My only gripe is the bus station badly needs revamping or re-locating.

We like every other town cannot afford to stand still.
