Dance 4 All
Victoria Theatre, Halifax

Diverse, dynamic and delightful dancing captivated sell out audiences at the annual Dance 4 All show held at the Victoria Theatre on Saturday.
Audiences were taken on a fantastic journey to many magical places as they enjoyed a wonderful celebration of all aspects of dance, including jazz, ballet, tap, street and creative.

The destinations of the 400 talented young people, ranging in age from tots to teens, included the enchanting world of Beatrix Potter, steamy and sultry Bombay, the exotic South Pacific, the green pastures of Ireland and even the multi-coloured Boogie Wonderland.

Each dance in the "keep dancing" show told a story and it was clear the young stars, who wore some fantastically colourful and creative costumes, loved every chapter from beginning to end.

Their enthusiasm and enjoyment continued from curtain up til the finale when they were joined by their teachers to take their bows to resounding applause.

This year's extravaganza included music for all tastes – toes tapped to tunes from the 1960s, the latest Bon Jovi sounds, crowd pleasers from Queen as well as quieter interludes from the world of classics.

It is the eighth celebration of the Calderdale-based Dance 4 All and it is clear their belief that dancing is for all ages and abilities remains their foundation and on that they have built a wonderful team which relishes its centre stage appointment once a year.
