Hebden Royd Red Star Reserves needed a point for promotion from their final Division Two match of the campaign away to Shelf United Reserves and did even better, banking three points with a 3-1 success.
Sowerby Bridge retained second spot because they won 7-1 at Stainland United Reserves in their penultimate game but they look set to be overhauled by title favourites Bowling Green, who still have five games to play following the postponement of their game away to lowly Kingston.
Ryburn United Reserves finished on a winning note with a 4-0 home success over fellow mid-table outfit Copley United.
