A FINE first season by Copley Town, in which they also won promotion, was capped off in style by a heroic League Cup final victory against a strong Cock and Bottle Reserves outfit.
And a brave Town side had to come back from 2-1 down to secure that triumph in a game in which both sides finished with 10 men following a late double sending off.

Copley started the brighter with a number of chances in the opening 10 minutes, and they managed to take one of those opportunities when James Broadbent slotted home a Lee Worrall cross with his left foot.
But from then on until the half time whistle, Cock and Bottle were in charge with ex-Halifax and Bradford man Matt Maslak, brought in from Cock's first team squad in an effort to fire the reserves to their second successive League Cup victory, running the game.
It was good work by Maslak which set up the equaliser as Craig Boothroyd netted at the second attempt, and then a break from midfield led to Cock going ahead as they looked to take the game by the scruff of the neck.
But Town did not throw the towel in and after Maslak was substituted early in the second half, they began to get a grip on the midfield.
And after knocking at the door continuously for 25 minutes, they finally broke Cock's resistance.
The goal came in pectacular style as Broadbent notched his second strike of the game courtesy of a dramatic overhead kick from another Worrall cross.
It was anybody's game now and in the closing minutes Boothroyd went through on goal for Cock but was not able to apply the finish.
But the crucial goal came at the other end on 81 minutes after Rob McCreanney won a corner. Worrall whipped in another dangerous cross and as confusion reigned in the goalmouth it was cruelly diverted over the line by an unfortunate Cock defender.
The closing minutes were marred by an unsavoury clash which saw a player from each side red carded.
But when the melee subsided, it was left to Copley to hang on for the remaining few minutes to land the trophy at the first attempt.
