8-wicket Fletcher boosts Triangle

Have your say

TRIANGLE skipper Carl Fletcher took eight for 46 at Mytholmroyd yesterday to help his side maintain their bright start to the season in the Towergate Halifax League.

Triangle, one point behind leaders Bradshaw going into the second round of games in the Bank Holiday weekend, dismissed their struggling hosts for just 69.

Ex-’Royd player Steve Senior (43 no) and Gary Rodger (23 no) then guided the visitors through to a nine wicket win.

Old Crossleyans poor start continued after they could only make 134 for eight in reply to Jer Lane’s 245 for seven.

Huddersfield League pair Elland and Barkisland had to settle for two points each after their matches fell victim to the rain which fell until early afternoon.
