Another Town game in doubt as Bay prepare for pitch inspection

Town lost 0-1 at home to Colwyn Bay earlier this season

Town lost 0-1 at home to Colwyn Bay earlier this season

Colwyn Bay will hold a pitch inspection tomorrow morning ahead of FC Halifax Town’s game there this weekend (3pm).

Days of relentless rain in North Wales mean officials will determine whether the pitch is playable tomorrow morning.

A club spokesman says Bay are keen to see the game go ahead - and the Shaymen will be equally as keen to play at the Red Lion Foods Stadium, having fallen six games behind leaders Chester this week.

Town will be hoping to avenge the 0-1 defeat at home to Bay this season in what was their first home game of the season.

Town have also been dealt another fixture blow this week with the game at Gloucester, due for January 5, moved to Tuesday 19 February because Cheltenham Town, who share the Whaddon Road ground, are in FA Cup action against Everton.

The game away at Altrincham has been rescheduled for Tuesday January 29.
