Neil Aspin admits he would be keen to extend the loan deal for frontman Alex Titchiner.
Diminutive Titchner has been in fine form since joined from Fleetwood, scoring on his home debut against Vauxhall Motors, winning the penalty that saw Town beat Cammell Laird, and then netting a second half hat-trick against Droylsden last weekend.
Titchiner’s loan move is due to expire after the trip to Guiseley on November 27 - but Aspin said he would love to be able to keep the striker longer.
“He did well against Vauxhall where he scored and in a difficult game at Cammell Laird he won us the penalty. I feel that he made the difference for us against Droylsden. You can’t have enough goalscorers at your club and he’s come in and showed what he’s all about. Everybody said he would do better the more games he played and there was some great finishing. He has helped us win the game.”
“I would like him to be here all season but that’s not down to me. He’s a player we’ve watched before and we like. You can’t blame anyone for going to a football league club and hopefully he’ll do well there but we’d like to keep him for as long as we can.”
