Halifax have had another game postponed

The Shaymen have had their third league game in a row postponed after the Shay pitch was deemed unplayable for tonight’s visit of Harrogate Town.

It is the fourth home game the Shaymen have had postponed this season, with two games against Vauxhall Motors and last weekend’s game against Solihull also falling victim to the weather.

Last Tuesday’s trip to Guiseley was also called off.

A bad start to December has compounded Town’s fixture woes, with the Shaymen having only played four league games in over two months.

They are four games and 20 points off the top of the league and face a tricky game at Worcester City - who are two places above the seventh placed Town.

The only side to have played fewer Blue Square North games this season are, ironically, Harrogate, whose progress to an FA Cup second round replay against Hastings and pitch problems of their own have seen them struggle to fit games in.
