Jake Hibbs gets my man of the match this week for his effort all over the pitch. He never stopped although his efforts were not always supported by his teammates.

Highlight of the match

Anyone who knows me will guess this, of course it’s Tom Denton’s goal. It was a bit of a scramble but still it was Big Tom’s seventh of the campaign. He is certainly going to be in with a shout for top scorer come the end of the season.

Moan of the match

Unfortunately, there were many of these this week, which led to our first defeat. The stand out one has to be conceding the first goal. All the team need to keep their concentration after scoring a goal, it doesn’t matter how many we score, if we let our opponents score more we won’t be anywhere near top of the table come April!

Matty Kyoslo, looked dangerous down the wing and was very unlucky not to get a goal, good to see him starting games.

Tom Denton reacts quickly to blast home Town’s opening goal in front of the huge travelling support for his seventh of the season.

Moan of the match

Conceding so early after going ahead again like at Nuneaton. Need to tighten up at the back, Hone’s lack of pace a real concern for me.

Matt Kosylo; caused problems to Fylde, and came close to scoring his first for us.

Denton’s quick reaction to knock in the rebound from his own shot.

Complete failure to close opposition down outside our area, which led to all three goals conceded against a surprisingly poor side.

Matty Kosylo, great commitment all afternoon, unlucky not to score an equaliser late on.

Moment of the match

The linesman’s flag in the first half ruling out a 2-1 lead for the Shaymen. Seemed a close decision. Made all the difference in the end.

Moan of the match

Getting soaked in the away end just before kick off. The new pitch sprinkler system needs some slight adjustment to ensure the grass gets watered not the fans.
