Halifax Town appeal fails: Official club statement
We can confirm that the 'Appeal' made by Halifax Town Football Club has ruled in favour of the Football Conference. This confirms that Halifax Town Football Club Ltd - In Administration is ineligible for the Conference Competition for the 2008-2009 season.
The hearing commenced at 11.00am, lasting four and a half hours, holding up another hearing ,which was due to commence at 2.00pm. The Club was represented by David Hinchcliffe of Walker Morris Solicitors and David Phillips QC.
As stated in the last 'Update', an announcement will be made as soon as possible regarding the future of the Club. A clear position needs to be achieved, in consultation with the FA, the Legal Team on return from London and Begbies Traynor. Again, it is hoped a decision regarding the future of the Club/Business, will be made within 24 to 48 hours, for the benefit of all parties concerned.
