Supporters' trust in fresh plea to consortium
THE Halifax Town Supporters' Trust is again writing to the consortium seeking clarification of its intentions.
"A further letter is going to be sent reminding it of our offer of help and to try and clarify its position regarding the future of the club," said Halifax Town Supporters' Trust spokesman Jonathon Monaghan.
"We feel communication with the consortium is vital as its current wall of silence is damaging the club and dividing supporters."
The trust board met on Sunday and decided against staging a public meeting until the consortium's position was known.
"However, if another supporters' group were to call a meeting the trust would certainly support it and help in any way it can," said Mr Monaghan.
The trust is continuing to work on its plan B for a fans' owned club should it be needed and late this week the board will know if its 230 members prefer that option or one with the consortium at the helm.
Allan Baker is the new trust chairman and Jack Haymer is the trust's club representative.
The interim appointments follow resignations and the trust will be holding its annual meeting at the end of this month.
