Brighouse clear at the top
Brighouse Town have a two point lead over Farsley Celtic at the top of the Evo Stik NPL First Division North after a 1-0 win away to Scarborough Athletic last night.
Leon Osborne got the all-important goal after 33 minutes on the east coast, heading home at the near post after good work from Greg Pearson and Luke Parkin.
Paul Quinn’s visitors were making it seven wins out of eight games this season against hosts who started the evening in fourth place.
Brighouse are at home to 16th-placed Mossley on Saturday. The weekend’s visitors lost 3-1 at home to Ossett Albion last night and all their three wins this season have come on the road.
