Brighouse Town extended their unbeaten run to seven matches as they completed their first season in Evo-Stik NPL Division One North with a 2-2 home draw with Northwich Victoria.

The result means that Paul Quinn’s side finished a highly-creditable 14th.

The visitors went ahead through Josh Amis on 21 minutes but Brighouse were level just ahead of the break when Ben Thornton’s shot came back off the post and Ryan Hall laid the ball off for Ernest Boafo to net.

Hall then fired the home side ahead in the second half following a long clearance from ‘keeper Jacob Giles, but Northwich claimed a share of the spoils through Gary Burnett’s 73rd minute effort.

Ovenden West Riding had to settle for a 1-1 draw in their WRCAL Premier Division clash at Huddersfield YMCA.
