Chairman David Bosomworth is calling on FC Halifax Town fans to turn up the volume for Monday’s televised clash with Alfreton (7.45pm) after cutting ticket prices for the game.

The club reduced admission prices to £15 for adults, £12 for concessions, £3 for under 16s £3 while under 12s can go for free.

Bosomworth said: “The squad deserve a good turnout so let us try and fire up the atmosphere and make it as hot as we possibly can for Alfreton.

“We’d love people to make the effort to get themselves down to the game.

“We can’t do this (reduce prices) regularly because we’ve got bills to pay but we are trying to make it affordable when we can.

“We are well aware there will be a big crowd Luton game (next Saturday), hopefully our biggest of the season.

“But more important for us is Alfreton, it’s of huge importance for the club and what we’ve tried to do is get over the fact that the potential prize is so big.

“We’re outsiders for a play-off place but there are still nine games to play, 27 points still up for grabs, and everybody is beating everybody else.”
