FC Halifax Town face two tough games this week as they aim to close the gap on the early pace setters.

The Shaymen host Oxford City in a Conference North clash at the Shay tomorrow (3.0) before going to Chester on Wednesday (7.45).

After four games, Oxford lie sixth in the table, level with Town on seven points, while newly promoted Chester are joint top with a 100 per cent record.

But Chester boss Neil Young believes the Shaymen are still the team to beat.

“Neil Aspin has done a fantastic job and they’ve had a year’s more experience in this league than us.

“Neil realised what was required after last season and he’s made some fantastic signings. I think they’re the ones to beat.”
