TWO more of Town’s Evo Stik Premier Division title-winning squad have agreed deals with the club in their first campaign at Blue Square Bet North level.
Midfielder Tom Baker and striker Danny Holland, who made key contributions to the club’s second successive promotion under boss Neil Aspin, will be at the club again in 2011-12.
And that is a massive boost hot on the heels of the news that the manager has extended his contract with the Shaymen.
Baker, who joined Town from Bradford Park Avenue in their first season in Unibond One North, bagged 14 goals from midfield last term.
“Since I have been at the club he has always done well,” said Aspin. “And he is the kind of player I like.
“He gives 100 per cent, will play through an injury and trains well.
“And he came up with some important penalties for us last season which shows he can cope with the pressure.
“As a manager you would always want a player like him in your squad and we are delighted to have come to an agreement with him.”
Holland bagged goals in each of the last five games last season as the Shaymen clinched the title.
And his tally for the campaign was 21 despite the fact he struggled with persistent knee problems which required careful monitoring.
“I am not someone who likes to have one rule for one and one for another,” said Aspin.
“But I am introducing a new rule for next season: If you have no cartilage in your knees you can miss the odd training session.
“Having said that, Danny knows it is what he does on the pitch that is the most important thing.”
