Town boss Billy Heath is hoping to extend the loan of Alex Simmons for initially another month.

The Lincoln forward has scored eight goals in 16 games for Halifax, and his three-month loan from The Imps was due to expire later this month.

Heath also said the Town squad is two players short, and is hoping to add to the squad sooner rather than later.

Defender Kevin Roberts failed a fitness test before the FA Cup second round game at Eastleigh, but may be fit for the replay on Tuesday.

Danny Hone played 90 minutes for the under 21’s on Wednesday and is back to fitness, butfellow centre-back Matty Brown is still at least another eight weeks from a return.
