FC Halifax Town: Heath seeking reinforcements as transfer deadline looms
The Town boss says he has just 16 players available for the game, with Richard Peniket suspended for the next three matches after his red card at Bradford Park Avenue last Saturday.
That leaves Town with only Adam Morgan and Tom Denton as recognised strikers, while they are still lacking a natural left-winger in the squad.

Hide AdThe transfer deadline is next Thursday at 5pm, and Heath would like to bring in to new faces before then,
“At this time of the season bringing in the right players is difficult,” he said. “I don’t want to bring in someone for the sake of it if they’re not going to improve us. No-one wants to let anyone go. We were close to signing someone last week but it didn’t happen. We’ve got 10 targets but it’s getting them out of their clubs that’s the difficult part. But we’re hoping to get someone in for Saturday. It certainly won’t be for a lack of trying if we don’t.”
Heath says Josh Macdonald is still another month away from fitness, but that Danny Clarke should be available despite suffering a thigh strain at Bradford Park Avenue.
Jake Hibbs cannot be recalled from his loan at Park Avenue, while Heath says Scott McManus isn’t quite ready to join in full training yet.

Morgan has netted just once in his last seven games after scoring seven in his first six appearances for the club.
“He’s working hard but it’s not quite happening for him at the minute,” said Heath.
