Striker Jamie Jackson has joined Alfreton after spending last season with FC Halifax Town.

Jackson, 28, has signed a one-year contract with the Reds and becomes Alfreton’s tenth signing of the summer.

He started 13 games for Town last season and made 30 substitute appearances, scoring four times, including on his debut in the 3-1 win over Southport last August.

Alfreton will play in the National League North next season after being relegated from the Conference last term.

The forward is the half-brother of former Chesterfield, Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End striker Kevin Davies.
