FC Halifax Town have confirmed that goalkeeper Matt Glennon has re-signed for the 2014-15 season as Town manager Neil Aspin continues to build his squad for the new Football Conference Premier campaign.

This will be the start of Glennon’s third season at the Shay after joining Town in the summer of 2012 from Chester FC.

He started his career at Bolton Wanderers before taking in loan spells at Port Vale, Stockport County, Bristol Rovers and Carlisle United.

His most appearances for any club came for Carlisle in 2002-2005, when he had signed permanently for the Cumbrians. He also made over 100 appearances for Huddersfield Town.

Glennon also made two appearances for England C back in 2005.
