Sam Johnson has joined FC Halifax Town on a two-year contract after two successful loan spells with The Shaymen.
The goalkeeper won the FA Trophy in his first spell with the club before helping them to promotion during his second loan from Port Vale.
Meanwhile, striker Richard Peneiket has left the club after they decided not to offer him a new contract.
Peniket spent three years with Halifax, also winning the FA Trophy and promotion to the National League.
Town have announced their first pre-season friendly ahead of the 2017-18 season - they will play Rochdale at The Shay on July 18.
