FC Halifax Town travel to Hyde on Saturday (3.0) aiming to maintain their unbeaten pre-season record.

Town drew 0-0 at Stockport County last Saturday before Danny Hattersley scored the only goal as they beat Bradford Park Avenue 1-0 on Monday.

Then on Wednesday night, The Shaymen recorded a thumping 5-1 win at Farsley Celtic.

Saturday’s opponents Hyde will play in the Northern Premier League Premier Division after being relegated from the Conference North last season.

They won only three of their league games last term and conceded 106 goals.

It was announced last month the club had been bought by their supporters.

The club’s name has reverted from Hyde FC to Hyde United and manager Gary Lowe has agreed to stay on as manager.

Former Rochdale midfielder Reece Gray is among the ranks at Ewen Fields.

Gray scored once in seven games on loan at The Shay during the 2013-14 season, and was sent-off in the club’s 4-3 defeat against Woking.
