FC Halifax Town boss Neil Aspin is among the early favourites to be the next manager at former club Port Vale.

Micky Adams resigned as Port Vale manager after a run of six straight defeats for the League One side.

Now, the former player who signed for the club in 1989 and became a firm favourite with fans during his 348 league appearances, is 7/1 with Skybet to be appointed their next manager.
