FC Halifax Town have confirmed that striker Jamie Rainford has left the club on loan.

Rainford, who joined the club from Chester FC, has returned to Marine, the club where he first made his name, in a one month deal.

Just three weeks ago, Rainford told the Courier hoped to play a major part in Town’s fortunes this season, but, after failing to start a single game so far this season, has now been deemed surplus to requirements by manager Neil Aspin.

Town will play their first game without the striker on Saturday at home to Abbey Hey in the FA Cup second qualifying round.
