Salterlee Primary School were the winners of the half-time schools competition held at the Shay during FC Halifax Town home games.
A total of 12 teams took part in the competition which this year had a new look to it with the teams being offered an improved matchday experience.
This included meeting and asking questions to an FC Halifax Town squad member before the match. The teams then created a guard of honour for the two teams as they walked out onto the pitch.
Throughout the season, all 12 teams have taken part in a knock out competition striving to try and earn their place in the final.
Savile Park earned their place by narrowly defeating St Chad’s whereas Salterlee cruised past Holywell Green to earn their place.
The final, which took place during half-time of FC Halifax Town’s 2-1 win over Macclesfield last Saturday, turned out to be a hard fought and very close tie.
But Salterlee took the crown with a 2-1 win of their own.
