Lancaster City 0 Halifax Town 3
Town eased into the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup in a game marred by crowd trouble.
The tie at the Giant Axe was held up for 25 minutes in the first half after skirmishes broke out on the terraces behind goalkeeper Phil Senior’s goal.
Both teams were taken from the field by the referee and play did not resume until the police arrived.
Town led 1-0 by the time the teams left the field after Brett Renshaw had fired home a third minute opener.
On the resumption Simon Garner made it 2-0 before the break with Lee Gregory bagging his eighth of the season five minutes from the end to complete a comfortable victory
