A record home crowd of 8,042 were at the Shay to see FC Halifax Town’s 2-1 defeat in the FA Cup first round against Bradford City.

The game was also broadcast live on BT Sport on what was a memorable occasion for the club.

More than 3,000 Bradford fans also attended the game, which saw all four sides of the ground packed with supporters as the club’s previous record attendance of 4,601 agsinst Charlton three years ago was almost doubled.
