FC Halifax Town play their second game in two days on Wednesday night when they travel to Guiseley in the West Riding County Cup (7.45pm kick-off).
The match comes just 24 hours after Town’s league fixture at Alfreton, with Guiseley heading into the game on the back of a 1-0 win at Droylsden in the FA Cup at the weekend.
Mark Bower, himself a former Town defender, has a host of former Halifax players in his squad, including Ryan Toulson, Danny Lowe, Alex Johnson, Danny Forrest and Josh Wilson, who is currently on loan at Nethermoor from the Shaymen.
Guiseley are currently fourth in the Conference North having won five of their opening 10 games.
Town’s last game at Guiseley was their 2-0 win in the Conference North play-off, semi-final second-leg, but Guiseley won the last meeting between the clubs in the FA Trophy last season thanks to Johnson’s winner.
The winner at Nethermoor will play either Selby Town or Ossett Albion.
