FC Halifax Town have announced the arrival of two new signings.

Centre-back Ben Futcher, 31, son of former Town defender Paul Futcher, has signed on a season long loan deal from Bury.

The club have also signed 27-year-old striker Dale Johnson, who scored at the Shay against Town last season for his former side Droylsden.

Chairman David Bosomworth confirmed nine players from the squad which finished third in the Blue Square Bet North last season have been retained.

Liam Hogan, Liam Needham and Jamie Rainford have all entered the second year of their contracts, while Danny Lowe, Scott McManus, Ryan Toulson and Lee Gregory have signed extensions.

Phil Senior and Jason St Juste are also expected to re-sign.
