Town chairman David Bosomworth and manager Neil Aspin are both hoping the club’s highly-anticipated FA Cup clash with Bradford City is one of next weekend’s televised games.

The BBC and BT Sport will both be televising games from the first round and are set to announce their chosen matches for live coverage on Thursday.

Town’s first round clash with Charlton in 2011 was shown live on ITV, and Bosomworth would love to see the cameras return to the Shay.

He said: “Whether the game gets on the television or not, we don’t know.

“I’d like to think it has a chance because it’s going to be a great game for the cameras if they choose it, so we’re obviously keen for that to happen.”

Aspin echoed his chairman’s thoughts, and is hopeful about the prospect of the game being broadcast live.

He said: “It’s got every chance I would say. I’m not a TV scheduler but you’d have to think it’s got a good chance.

“If it is then obviously it’s great for the club but we’ll have to wait and see.”
