FC Halifax Town will face Maidstone United in the second round of the FA Trophy.

Gareth Seddon’s hat-trick did the damage for the Shaymen as they cruised by Altrincham 5-2 on Saturday.

Their reward for that is a game at home to Maidstone, based in Kent and who play in Isthmian League Division One South.

They beat Sailsbury City 2-0 on Saturday to reach this round.

The game will be played on December 15, meaning Town’s Blue Square North game against Bishop’s Stortford, originally scheduled for that day, will be re-arranged.

Town’s next game is a trip to Guiseley in a league clash tomorrow.
