FC Halifax Town play their final pre-season friendly tomorrow when they host Stockport County at the Shay (3pm).
The Shaymen should have a full squad to choose from for their final warm-up match ahead of next week’s season opener at Cambridge.
However, defender James Knowles looks unlikely to feature as he is expected to leave the club shortly.
County have made eight new signings as they prepare for life in the Conference North, including former Everton striker Phil Jevons and ex-Aston Villa defender Stephen O’Halloran.
Midfielder Paul Marshall was one of several departures from County at the end of last season, and is joined in the ranks of ex-Stockport players at the Shay by Matt Glennon, Keith Briggs, Alex Johnson and Sean Williams.
Hatters boss Ian Bogie is a former team-mate of Neil Aspin from their time at Port Vale in the 1990’s and took charge of the club in March after leaving Gateshead last December.
Aspin has rung the changes throughout pre-season, but hinted he may keep a more settled line-up for tomorrow’s match, although he is yet to settle on a starting 11 for the Cambridge game.
He said: “Players have had opportunities in pre-season to get in the team for the Cambridge game.
“We won’t be making too many changes but at this moment in time I haven’t decided on my line up.”
