Town young guns see off Staveley in FA Youth Cup

FC Halifax Town’s under 19’s beat Staveley Miners Welfare 4-0 in the FA Youth Cup Preliminary Round at The Shay on Wednesday night.

Staveley, managed by Town striker Jordan Burrow, were holding Town 0-0 at half-time before two goals from left-back Reece Kendal and one each from Marko Basic and substitute James Sunderland in front of 145 supporters.

Town now progress to the First Qualifying Round in the week commencing Monday, September 19.
