We cannot compete with Fylde financially, admits Heath

Bradley scored on his debut for Fylde in their 3-1 win over Gainsborough after they beat Halifax, Lincoln and Kidderminster to his signature.

Fylde are owned by multi-millionaire David Haythornthwaite, and Heath admitted their spending power is out of Halifax’s reach.

“What we can’t do is compete with Fylde,” he said.

“They just blew everybody out of the water.

“We’re always going to go for good players but there are some teams in this league that we can’t compete with, in terms of fees and wages.

People might not want to hear me say that but there are three or four teams in this league that we can’t compete with.

“That’s the way it is.”
