Former FC Halifax Town striker Lee Gregory has been the subject of a war of words with Rotherham boss Steve Evans after he guided The Millers to Championship survival at the expense of Millwall.

Gregory said in an interview that he hoped Rotherham would bottle it in the race for survival before the South Yorkshire side went on to beat Reading 2-1 on Tuesday night and send Millwall down.

After the game, Evans responded by saying they had 12 bottles of Champagne which they’d be drinking and told Gregory to “keep your trap shut”.
