Martin McIntosh says former Buxton defender Marc Roberts is assured of a warm reception upon his impending return to the Silverlands.
Roberts is now at FC Halifax Town and is set to arrive with his team-mates for a pre-season friendly on Saturday August 2.
Kick-off for the match will be 3pm.
The game between the two sides is part of the deal that saw Roberts head to West Yorkshire last summer.
McIntosh says the defender will receive well-earned recognition from Bucks supporters upon his return.
He said: “It will be great to see Marc back at the Silverlands.
“I’m sure the fans will show their respect for him.
“During his time here he was one of the standout performers.
“He’s said in the past that he loved his time here and it’s fair to say he improved a lot during that period.
“I also think we helped him come on as a player, and he’s now showing just what he can do.”
Roberts initially joined the Bucks on loan from Worksop in February 2012 before agreeing to another loan spell spanning the whole of the 2012-13 season.
He then signed a permanent deal with McIntosh’s side in June 2013, only to move to Halifax weeks later when the sides agreed an undisclosed fee.
Roberts made 65 appearances for Buxton in total and scored five goals.
He became a regular in the Shaymen’s side last season as they reached the Conference Premier play-off semi-finals.
Recently he has been on international duty with England C, featuring in the 4-2 defeat by Hungary last week.
Meanwhile, Buxton will host Leek Town on Saturday August 9 (3pm) - a week before the new Evo-Stik League season begins.
Another game is to be pencilled in for Saturday July 19.
