Ovenden WR bounced back well from a rare disappointment when beating Tyersal 5-2 in their West Riding County Amateur League title quest yesterday.

Halifax Irish gained a big win in their top-section survival quest with a 3-1 success away to Huddersfield YMCA yesterday but Ovenden WR Reserves’ hopes of retaining the Division Two Cup were dashed at Littletown Reserves, where they lost 2-1.
