Hammers are top of the table on goal difference, which was largely helped by their 16-1 demolition of King Cross last Thursday.

Khurram Shazad netted six goals in that game, with Terriq Pervez notching four, Sameer Ahmed grabbing a hat-trick and further goals by Mazn Amhamed, Matty Waller and Lamin Gitteh.

They followed that up by winning 3-1 at Ryburn United on Sunday.

Ryburn took the lead through Jake Finch’s penalty, but Shazad capped a nice move involving Gitteh and Irfan Afzal to equalise.

Gitteh then put Hammers in-front when he smashed the ball into the top corner after good work from Ahmed and Shazad.

Ryburn keeper Lewis Scott kept his side in the game with some good saves, but just before half-time, Hammers extended their lead through Suhail Bashir.

Third-placed Lee Mount are also in title contention, being six points behind Hammers and Waiters, but with two games in hand.

They beat Feathers 3-1 on Thursday before winning 5-2 at Ryburn Valley on Sunday.

Lee Mount host Waiters on Thursday in a vital match, before Waiters then host Hammers on Sunday.

The title is also undecided in Division One, with leaders Bradshaw winning 1-0 at Old Pond.

Leon Hurles-Brook went closest in the first half for Bradshaws but his header was well saved by Dan Barnes in the Old Pond goal.

When Pond conceded to a close-range Morgan Cummings finish five minutes after the break they could have folded but continued to defend well with Barnes in fine form in goal.

The Pond keeper saved one on one from Hurles-Brook as well as keeping out the

same man’s free kick effort and also denied Nathan Sloane and Ian King from

increasing the visitors lead.

At the other end Pond had speculative efforts from Brad Rufus and Hayden Lewis,

before the biggest chance was set up by Wayne Allert seeing Andy Mann just unable to get the necessary contact to force the ball past Tom Boyle in the visitor’s net.

Bradshaw are six points clear of second-placed Siddal, who thrashed Triangle 8-1 to leave them five points adrift but with two games in hand.

Elsewhere, North Bridge beat Halifax Rangers 3-1. Anthony Todd and Matthew Young both got their first goals of the season in the victory, with Jamie Callaghan also on the scoresheet.

Thomas Wade was the man to find the net for Rangers.
