Three games in the Haslem-Sheppard Halifax AFL failed to take place yesterday, in spite of near-perfect conditions.

Premier Division strugglers Holmfield were unable to raise a team to face Mixenden.

The Division One contest between Midgley United Reserves and Elland United, and the Division Tweo game between Sowerby Bridge Reserves and Northowram Reserves, were called off due to their being no referee available.

Premier Division title rivals Calder ‘76 and Ryburn United both won.

Calder won 5-1 at Shelf United with the help of two goals from Remi Allen while Ryburn United edged past injury-hit visitors Midgley United 5-4 with the help of a Christian Silkstone hat-trick.

Warley Rangers’ chance of honours was hit when they were held 1-1 at Northowram.
