Fax take on Castleford amateurs Lock Lane in the Challenge Cup at the Shay on Sunday (3.0), but the early part of the week has been dominated by the post-mortem of the 38-35 loss to the Lions.

“We had a positive review on Tuesday night,” said Marshall.

“We are bitterly disappointed about the performance and the result and the way we allowed ourselves to be out-enthused by Swinton.

“To concede 38 points at home is unacceptable really and it’s not something that should be happening.

“The important thing is how we go about rectifying the things that let us down at the weekend and that was discussed at length.”

Marshall confirmed that half back Ben Johnston trained with his teammates on Tuesday night as he continues his recovery from medial ligament damage.
