Last year’s Halifax League double winners SBCI are set for two home matches at the start of their Parish Cup defence.
Jamie Sykes’s side will be expected to beat Stainland, in spite of that club’s influx of players from now-defunct Badger Hill, before crossing swords with last year’s middle section champions Mytholmroyd, who have a bye in the first round along with Triangle.
Low Moor, who were beaten in last year’s rain interrupted final at Sowerby St Peter’s, will get a chance to prove that their semi-final win at subsequent Premier Division runners-up Booth was no fluke.
Moor, who finished bottom of Division One, will have ground advantage against Robert Laycock’s side on Sunday, May 5. A home date with either Oxenhope or Denholme Clough on June 2 is the prize for the winners.
Crossley Shield holders Warley are at home to Old Town in the first round.
