Bitner back to winning ways

Halifax boxer Richard Bitner made it four wins and draw from six professional fights with a convincing success in Scotland on Friday evening.

The 23-year-old, who had suffered his first defeat when outpointed by Alexander White in Glasgow three weeks earlier, found Mark Parvin much more his cup of tea dropping down to 144lbs.

The 19-year-old Parvin had won his only two previous fights but Bitner put him down in the last of the four rounds and got the verdict by 39 points to 36.
