Both sides took the opportunity to field fringe players in this Yorkshire Cup first round proper tie between North One East strugglers.

The Bees with their larger squad had the advantage in this area but Crocs, with many players operating out of position, fought well particularly in the last quarter.

Crocs only had three Gareth Sweeney penalties to show for their efforts with Bees claiming the win with two convereted touchdowns.

Prop Hill grabbed the first with a pushover try, goalled by Driver, with No8 Brook crossing for the second after 55 minutes with Mitchell adding the extras.

The result means that Crocs miss out on a potential second round date with Yorkshire big guns Otley, Wharfedale and Harrogate.
