Crocs head for the Hills looking to close the gap

Old Crossleyans could move up to third in North East One tomorrow with victory at Wheatley Hills.

Crocs currently lie fourth, having won five from seven, ahead of the trip to the unbeaten league leaders.

“They’ll be favourites, so we’re going thee with nothing to lose,” said Crocs captain James Wainwright, whose side warmed up with a hard-fought 22-19 win over neighbours Keighley last weekend.

“We’ll go with the intention of playing some rugby and see what happens.

“It is a big test, but we’re in quite good form ourselves so there is no reason not to be confident.”

Crocs will recall James Hooper to the hooking role, while newly-signed utility back Elliott Hodgson, who made his debut last weekend, hopes to be available if he can negotiate work commitments.
