Halifax will be out to make it two-from-two when they travel to Wetherby in Yorkshire Four tomorrow.
The Ovenden Park club opened their season with a 24-10 home win over Sheffield Oaks last weekend, with skipper Duane West confident they can double up against their county rivals tomorrow.
“Wetherby are one of the better sides, but we got a win there last season and hopefully we can get another one tomorrow,” said West.
“We played well last week; they were a decent set of lads, really well drilled especially in their forward play, so it was a good result.
“We went off a little bit in the second half but it’s always nice to win the first game.”
Halifax will welcome back forwards Dean Cotton, Gareth Matthews and hooker Ian Morris tomorrow, with West saying that Morris’ return could be particularly significant.
“We’ve struggled at hooker a little bit, but we’re more or less at full strength now,” he said.
“We’ve got a few people coming back now and there are still places up for grabs.”
