Halifax 46 Hessle 5

Halifax kept up the pressure and man of the match David Dodds was next to cross for the first of his hat-trick of tries.
A Hessle penalty ended in another Halifax driving maul to put Sturman in position for his try, converted by Gallagher. as Halifax opened up a 24-0 lead at the break.
The second half started with an even more determined Hessle side, but a scrum against the head led to Fairbank’s storming first try. The second of Dodds’ followed and Fairbank didn’t have to wait long for his superb second try.
Dodds added his third before Hessle found themselves on the scoreboard, but it was too late in the day to make an impact on coach Mark Walton’s dominant Halifax side.
