Todmorden Park won the Halifax Association’s Rose Bowl final, sponsored by The Tower House, with a 185-172 win over Hove Edge at Hill Crest.
Conceding 10 points start, Todmorden quickly made inroads into the deficit. They won three of the first four games with successes for Peter Stott, Ian Holden and Gary Timewell.
Division-lower Hove Edge’s only success in the first four was Keith Barker’s 21-12 win against Derek Senior, leaving them two points in front.
Hove Edge won three of the next four games through Tom Gasson, Peter Martin and skipper Steve Rothwell but Todmorden took a one point lead thanks to Harry Ashworth who beat Ross Halstead 21-2.
With two matches to play the game was in the balance but Todmorden snatched victory with Shaun Frewin beating Nigel Firth 21-13 and Rob Houghton winning 21-17 against John Butterworth.

Rastrick PSBC and Brighouse Sports were beaten in the quarter-finals of the Yorkshire Cup.
Rastrick, who play in the Spen Challenge Cup final tonight, were underdogs against Thongsbridge at Golcar Libs but were far from disgraced.
Although the Huddersfield side won by 38, there was little in it until the last four jacks, Dave Wood and Dale Dyson playing well for Rastrick.
Out-of-sorts Brighouse were no match for Alverthorpe, who had nine of the first 10 winners at Cleckheaton Sports, losing by 37 chalks.
Four Brighouse Sports players helped Yorkshire thrash Warwickshire 485-295 in the British Parks competition.
Bob Whitfield won 21-10, Tony Riley 21-18 and Mark Regan 21-13 in the 252-124 success at Birkenshaw and Danny Fountain won 21-14 in the white rose side’s 233-169 away win.
