Top teams turn out for treasure hunt

ELEVEN teams took part in the Shibden and district Bridleways Association annual treasure hunt.

Despite the rain and cold, 36 people, 24 horses and one dog set off from Upper Hagstock, Hag Lane, Shibden on Bank Holiday Monday.

Over 100 raised for association funds, which will see the circular rides project well under way.

Chairwoman Sarah Talbot-Greaves said a big thank you to everyone for turning out.

"We were so pleased to hear so many compliments.

"A very big thank you to Lyn for setting the questions and hosting the event again.

Results for the treasure hunt were:

Short route - 1. (joint) Them and Us, 2. The Beavers, 3. The Shetland Gang

Long route - 1. Jasmine and Susey, 2. Charlies Angels, 3. Ins-anity, 4. The Turners; 5. Angela and Digger, 6. 3 Wise Monkeys, 7. The Highfield Geldings.
