Treasure seekers at Pole Moor Riding Club

A TREASURE Hunt and social ride have kept members of Pole Moor Riding Club busy.

The fun kicked off on Easter Monday with a bonnet competition at Scapegoat Hill. Against some strong competition Gina Whitely's elegant bonnet took the adult prize. The junior award went to a totally unique creation which featured winner Jenny Turner's pet hen Henny Penny in a nest.

Easter eggs were handed out to the winners with rosettes going to everyone who took part.

Members then enjoyed a social hack around the scenic country lanes of Scapegoat Hill, Bolster Moor and Golcar.

The following weekend bonnets were swapped for thinking caps in the Treasure Hunt around Slaithwaite village.

Sixteen pairs had to follow clue sheets and answer questions en route. The winning pair took home huge Easter Eggs and horsey stickers. Everyone who took part won a rosette.

Maz Bradley, Pole Moor's publicity officer said it had been a lot of fun with every member of the family able to take part.

1st - Lauren Stopford on Balli with Emily Coneron on Lolly

2nd - Jane Livingstone on Taz with Cadence Dollve on Bryony
